My consultation services cover a range of specialized topics, including: • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD and trauma • PTSD and Complex PTSD • Borderline Personality Disorder • DBT skills and their use in treatment • Eating disorders and body image • Cultural competency for Latinx clients, including immigrants and first-generation Americans • Special considerations in the treatment and assessment of eating disorders in women of color I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy and have applied it to a wide range of populations, including veterans and survivors of sexual abuse. As a Cuban immigrant, I am also particularly attuned to the unique needs of Latinx and immigrant clients — bringing both professional expertise and personal understanding to this area of consultation. I also bring over 15 years of experience treating eating disorders across a variety of roles and settings. This includes co-creating the first eating disorder treatment team at FIU's college counseling center, facilitating the first clinician-led eating disorder support group in Miami through the Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness, and working at a residential eating disorder treatment center as a primary therapist, assistant clinical director, and clinical director. Consultation is available on an individual or group basis, depending on your needs and preferences.
